Falling in Love With Science Exams – Improving GCSE Exam Outcomes Through Full Engagement With and Decoding of Texts
The GCSE Science exams involve deconstructing questions that include subject specific terminology, diagrams, unfamiliar contexts and interpretation of experimental data. To succeed in these exams, it is important that students gain confidence in these areas so that they can accurately answer the questions having fully understood what is required of them. This course will explore ways this can be successfully achieved using a variety of teaching and learning strategies throughout their study which result in increased outcomes in exams.
