Secondary RE Network Meetings (2017/18)

An opportunity for heads of department and others involved with religious education to develop their teaching and leadership of RE, especially in regard to the County Agreed Syllabus 'Living Difference III' to ensure best classroom practice and outstanding progress across KS3 to KS4.

Heads of department and others involved with teaching religious education.

Participants will learn how to

  • Plan for outstanding teaching to ensure rapid progress in religious education according to the county agreed syllabus 'Living Difference Revised III' and at GCSE.

Course content and methodology

  • A mixture of taught content and shared activities.

Intended impact on practice

  • Raising achievement and engagement in secondary religious education across KS3 and KS4.

The total cost of the programme is: Sub £150 - SLA £100 - Full £180. As the meetings span two financial years, the cost will be split and an invoice sent in 17/18 after the start of the programme and the final invoice in 18/19.  Split costs are:

FY 2017/18 Sub £90 - SLA £60 - Full £108 - autumn 2017 and spring 2018 sessions

FY 2018/19 Sub £60 - SLA £40 - Full £72 - summer 2018 session
