Conference Learning Outcomes:

  • To understand what is meant by ‘adopting a family approach’ to working with both children and adults and their families

  • To understand the types and forms of domestic abuse, including coercive control, adolescent relationship abuse, and adolescent on parent abuse

  • To understand the impact of domestic abuse on the family as a whole

  • To understand what support and interventions are available to both perpetrators and victims of domestic abuse, and their families in Hampshire 

  • To be confident in the application of legal frameworks and national / local learning in front line practice


Conference Attendance Fees:

Hampshire Safeguarding Children Board (HSCB) offer free training to their partner agencies.  In the case of non-attendance or cancellation within 48 hours of an event a fee of £120 will be incurred.  This fee will be waived if a substitute delegate is sent instead so please let us know if this happens.  Cancellations or changes must be advised to cs.nominations@hants.gov.uk

  • Please ensure you have read and understood the 'Conference attendance fees' section, above
  • HCC bookings should be made by line managers on-line Learning Zone help
  • Those without on-line access should book using this application form
  • There is a selection process for this course, submitting a nomination is not a guarantee of a place
  • Where places are not available, please complete this application form to register on the waiting list
  • The Hampshire Safeguarding Children Board charges £120 for non-attendance at training. This charge is made when non-attendance is un-notified or if the notice given is less than 48 hours
  • Foster Carers: Please use this application form to apply for training after liaising with your FPSW
