HSCB - Working Together and Preparing for Child Protection Conferences
A one day course enabling delegates to develop their skills to accomplish core tasks in safeguarding children in collaboration with other agencies and professionals. This is Level 3 training as defined by the HSCB training pathway.

This course is targeted at all those working with children, including the Voluntary Sector
Children's Services Workforce Development Team on behalf of Hampshire Safeguarding Children's Board
It is your responsibility to ensure that the pre-requisite eLearning
for this course has been completed before attending the face-to-face taught
Once you have completed the eLearning, and the assessment
questions, there is a link where you can print your own certificate.
Please bring either the certificate, or the results sheet, as proof
of your eLearning completion when you attend the taught session.
Completion of eLearning will be checked 5 working days prior to
event dates, and the trainer will be informed if you have not completed.
Please note you may be turned away from the course and still be charged.

Delegates must also be familiar with the Hampshire County Council's Safeguarding Statement which can be found on the HR - Safeguarding and and Raising Concerns page of Hantsweb
Participants will learn how to:
Promote effective working together within
the legal framework, national guidance and local safeguarding procedures
Identify roles and responsibilities of different agencies involved in safeguarding
Identify what makes for good partnership
working with families, and explore own attitudes and values in this area
Describe the purpose and process of Child
Be able to explain one's own
responsibilities when attending Child Protection Conferences

Course attendance fees:
Hampshire Safeguarding Children Board (HSCB)
offer free training to their partner agencies*. In
the case of non-attendance or cancellation within 48 hours of an event a fee of
£120 will be incurred. This fee will be waived if a substitute
delegate is sent instead but you must let us know if this happens. All
cancellations or changes must be sent
