A HIAS Cross Phase Transition Project in Collaboration with Bob Cox
This course offers the exciting opportunity to work in collaboration with teachers from the primary and secondary phase, HIAS Inspector/Advisers, and Bob Cox, an award winning author of the Opening Doors series. The course will enable delegates to engage with the key principles of effective English teaching and planning to meet these, exploring teaching and learning at the point of KS2-3 transition. Delegates will be expected to trial new, unseen resources by Bob Cox, using reflections and HIAS planning materials to develop collaborative units of learning to support transition. All delegates will receive free copies of Opening Doors to Famous Poetry and Prose and Opening Doors to Quality Writing, ages 10-13, providing over 30 journeys of learning.

All delegates will be expected to trial teaching approaches between
sessions, presenting their work in the final session. Delegates must attend all four sessions.
