HSCB - Learning Lessons Workshops from Serious Case Reviews for 2018

Workshops highlighting the learning from serious case reviews that are conducted when a child dies, or is seriously injured, and abuse or neglect are suspected. The workshops pull together key risk factors and practice recommendations to help practitioners understand and act upon the learning from serious case reviews.

Course Pre-requisites:

Attendees must be employed by a partner agency of Hampshire Safeguarding Children Board


Course Aim:

The aim of this multi-agency, practical workshop will be to explore how agencies can work effectively together to safeguard children by considering lessons from recent serious case reviews


Learning Outcomes:

  • To examine lessons drawn from local serious case reviews
  • To consider how these lessons from serious case reviews relate to your own practice
  • To consider improvements in working practice in the light of serious case reviews
  • To discuss issues in a multi agency context to improve networking and working together

Content:

  • Workshop presentation and group discussion

Intended Impact on Practice:

  • To support practitioners in identifying key risk factors and to strengthen multi-agency practice in working with children and families

 

Course Attendance Fees

Hampshire Safeguarding Children Board (HSCB) is offering these workshops free of charge to all.  In the case of non-attendance or cancellation within 48 hours of an event a fee of £30 will be incurred.  This fee will be waived if a substitute delegate is sent instead but you must let us know if this happens.  All cancellations or changes must be sent in writing to cs.nominations@hants.gov.uk
